Just to give you an update on my next project for Tatung Company
(Central Research Institute).  My project will involve replacing the
8051 micro controller by using the Xilinx PicoBlaze embedded micro
controller.  Once I replace the 8051 with PicoBlaze, then I will
redesign the D/A, D/A circuit board since there are signals that flow
from the 8051 to that circuit board.  So my next project will help me
gain knowledge by using PicoBlaze (which I never new existed but it
really neat to work with).  I have spent about a week studying
PicoBlaze so far.  With the redesign of the D/A, A/D circuit, that
will give knowledge for PCB design.

With PicoBlaze I will be working with UART for the RS-232.  Area will
be decreased significantly from the existing circuitry which is a
plus.  I have also studied the actual 8051 micro controller so far and
that is the first time that I did so.  I am glad I did because the
functionality is great for certain things and it is a fairly cheap
component to buy for certain applications.  So it is definitely nice
to know about it.

I will be going bicycle riding in Danshui with one of the senior
co-workers this weekend.  We talk quite a bit and it is a funny story
how we started to talk to each other.  I will save that for when I get
back.  My plane ticket for my return trip will be August 15.  I want
to wait till the last minute to come back so I can spend as much time
with my girlfriend.  (By the way, we having been dating since the
middle of October if interested).

I am going to try and plan one more trip for myself before I come
back.  I kind of want to visit China.  I have friend from my hometown
that just started teaching English in Beijing.  So I might go there
which will be nice so I don't have to pay for a room.  I need to start
planning but maybe I will do that at the end of June or the beginning
of July.

In conclusion, I can't believe that I will have been here for almost a
year.  The time has gone so quick.  I know that summer vacation has
started so I hope that you have a good summer.
